+ WHAT IS GRANITE?

Granite is a rock that is composed of grains of several other types of rocks and minerals. Granite hardness and durability make it a popular choice as a construction material. The spotted and shiny polished granite appearance also makes it an attractive material for decoration products. It is formed by volcanic activity and can be found in deposits worldwide. These countries are Argentina, Brazil, Spain, China, India, Italy, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, parts of Scandinavia, Ukraine and the United States.

Granite is the stone, which humans use for construction, tougher. This makes it immune stain and wear resistant, and gives high load bearing capacity. Granite is almost completely devoid of porosity and not easily absorb water. The color is determined by granite rocks and minerals that make it up. Colors include red and gray, brown, beige, white, black.

Granite can be used in blocks of granite slabs and tiles to create and cover structures. Granite countertops in the kitchens of the houses last long, are highly decorative when polished and are resistant to damage and wear. Granite is also used for tombstones and other monuments that last long and is weatherproof. + WHAT IS QUARTZ?

Quartz is an engineered stone made up 93% natural quartz, polymers and pigments, which combine to create a much more resistant to stains, scratches and cracks material heat and leave happily graceful when they come into contact with chemicals for the most common household. Highly adaptable to almost any environment, they are not porous, making them safe and clean enough for use in laboratories, health centers and food processing environments.

+ WHICH MATERIAL TO CHOOSE?

Granite countertops and quartz share many traits, a choice between the two is reduced to atomic differences. Granite is a natural stone, quartz is a stone designed. While some stubborn owners expressed a definite preference, any material will serve you well for years. If you are unsure about which one to buy, opt for that will win your heart and complement the overall feel of your kitchen.

Sealing granite resist better than any other stone material in experiments conducted by Consumer Reports abuse. From pots of boiling oil stains left overnight, granite surfaces withstand heat, scratches and stains on laboratory tests. Quartz is also resistant to scratches, stains and heat, but the material is not 100 percent scratch-proof heat or under severe conditions. All stone tops can be broken by excessive force.

+ WHAT IS THE MAINTENANCE OF STONES?

CLEAN It combines a small amount of liquid dish soap with warm water and use the mixture to gently wipe the granite surface with a clean cloth or sponge. This eliminates any dirt or debris from the granite and restore the shine on granite.

SEALLER Granite should be sealed with a nontoxic sealer once or twice a year to protect it from stains, marks and burns heat. Use a sealer will also help maintain the bright granite appearance and make it easier to clean, which also helps to keep it shiny. There are various products to enhance the brightness.

+ ARE THEY HEAT RESISTANT

The stops are very resistant to heat and will not burn or scorch. However if the cap is subjected to extreme temperature changes can suffer heat shock or cracks. It is recommended to protect the top of the extreme heat using tripods or pads to isolate the heat.

+ CAN IT SCRATCH EASILY?

The stones are extremely hard and scratch resistant surfaces. Only diamonds, sapphires and topaz are harder, which means that granite is extremely durable and able to withstand prolonged wear and scratches. Do not use the top as a cutting surface as blunt knives. We recommend using tripods or cutting boards.

Most cabinets wood or pvc support the weight, because the weight is distributed throughout the countertop. If the cabinets are hardboard we recommend placing wooden supports at certain strategic points.

+ WHAT IS THE THICKNESS OF STONE

The choice of the thickness depends on the budget, thicker more expensive. The stones are available usually in two thicknesses. The thickness does not determine the quality and the characteristics of the surface are the same.

+ HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE ONCE I MAKE THE THE ORDER?
